Jay Banks has been in the dance & fitness industry in excess
of 11yrs, during which time he has been fortunate enough to tour
the world and perform in shows such as
Fame,
Westside Storey,
Annie and
Stars in their Eyes, to name but a few.
Jay has also performed with artists Dizzy Rascal, Fragma and the
Legendary Heat Wave and has most recently become choreographer to
TT Elite Entertainers (look out for them on the TV very soon).
As well as having a passion for dance and stage Jay also has a love
of Martial Arts, and began studying Kickboxing at the age of 9 but
had to give it up when awarded a scholarship to Performing
Arts College at the age of 16. Since then it has always been something
Jay has wanted to get back in to and most recently he has
started studying Muey Thai and Mixed Martial Arts at the renown
Pro-Am Fight Centre in Cambridge. This is the home of Team Tsunami, which is the clubs Competition Team, where Jay is training under
light weight Cage Rage Champion Robbie "The Flame" Olivier.
This has given Jay the opportunity to become one of only 10
UK students to study with the Mixed Martial Arts Conditioning Association
and become a MMA Conditioning Coach.
Jay is also an elite personal trainer and trains a wide variety
of clients within the Cambridgeshire area. He is also a qualified
advanced functional trainer and teaches classes such as Kettle Bells,
ViPR, TRX, Pilates and Metabolic workout classes. Alongside the training and studying Jay tutors on Y-FIT Kids Street
Dance courses, presents master classes at the RIP Fitness Conventions
and at Lydia Campbell’s legendary Fit Camps held at Ribby Hall.
